Special Edition of the Journal - Sustainable Growth: The Challenges of Transition

The latest edition of the Journal for a Progressive Economy is dedicated to the Progressive Economy Annual Forum on sustainable growth, held on 3 June 2015 in the European Parliament. This special edition features an exclusive interview with Thomas Piketty, special guest of the Annual Forum, and a report on the high-level debate on the transition to sustainable growth and to quality jobs. Also featured are the winners of the second edition of the Call for Papers, launched in September 2014, who have provided summary versions of their winning papers for publication.

3rd Annual Call for Papers

The third edition of the Call for Papers was launched on 17 September 2015. It focuses on three research topics: Reforming the Economic and Monetary Union, The Labour Market and the Digital and Technological Revolution, and Financial Instruments to Foster Sustainability. Researchers are invited to submit their abstracts via our website by Wednesday 4 November 2015.

Progressive Economy is organizing an internal workshop on Capital Markets Union on 22nd September 2015 from 14.30 to 16.30. S&D MEPs and experts will be invited to discuss three main issues: the review of the Prospectus Directive, the diversification of funding for SMEs and banks, and securitisation.
