Henning Meyer has an academic background in politics, economics and business. He is a Research Associate at the Public Policy Group (PPG) of the London School of Economics and Political Science and Editor-in-Chief of Social Europe (www.socialeurope.eu). He is also Honorary Fellow at the Global Policy Institute at Durham University and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA). Previously, he was a Senior Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science, Head of the European Programme at the Global Policy Institute London and Visiting Fellow at the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University. Henning works on public policy themes that include aspects of globalisation, political economy, economic and social policy, European integration and how digital technology is changing societies. He is a member of the German SPD’s Basic Values Commission (Grundwertekommission) and regularly advises public and private sector organisations on public policy issues. He is also a frequent commentator on political and economic issues in global media and regularly writes for major newspapers such as The Guardian, DIE ZEIT, The New York Times and El Pais. Furthermore, Henning frequently comments on TV news channels such as BBC News, Sky News and Al Jazeera International.
